Comic David Alan Grier could not believe he had gotten kicked off Dancing With the Stars when it happened last week. Throughout the contest, it was obvious he felt judges were being too harsh on him, and his frustration with the result was written all over his face.

I think Grier was being a little kind to himself; he was generally better than Jackass star Steve-O and ex-NFL star Lawrence Taylor, but only barely. And his fan base probably wasn't as big as theirs, so he went down a few weeks before them.

But then he lost it during an interview with Access Hollywood, going after judge and former In Living Color fly girl Carrie Ann Inaba, saying: "There’s several people that can kiss my a--, but she’s definitely the first in line …To stand up week after week and be humiliated by people who have no right to talk to me [like that] … I am proudest that I didn’t climb across that table and slap the s--- out of every one of those judges and that’s my proudest accomplishment.”

He said later that it was a joke. But he looked dead serious to me. Then he wound up having to mount an apology tour for committing the cardinal sin of being honest during an interview.
