Here's how much of a fanboy I am: When I met ace NPR film critic Bob Mondello Thursday in Washington D.C., I couldn't help gushing about the movie I can't wait to see this summer:

That's right. I gushed about The Avengers.

I also noted this summer is going to be heaven for geeks like me.

Along with The Avengers, we've got the last Dark Knight movie, the Spider Man reboot, the third Men in Black film and the movie which may or may not be a prequel for Alien, Ridley Scott's Prometheus.

If these films are nearly as good as they should be, we fanboys will have one heck of a summer.
