If you live in the Tampa Bay area and saw the jarring video footage of reporter Chris O'Connell attacked while he was reporting on a case of animal hoarding in South Philadelphia, you might have recognized a familiar face.

That's because O'Connell spent ten years here in the Tampa Bay area chasing news stories for local cable newschannel Bay News 9, as a reporter and later sports anchor.

After leaving BN9 in 2007, he spent some time in Minneapolis before joining Philadelphia's Fox affiliate WTXF last year.
