Former WTSP-Ch. 10 anchor Jennifer Howe arrested twice this week for incidents involving neighbors
It has been a tough week for former WTSP-Ch. 10 anchor Jennifer Howe, who has been arrested twice within days at her St. Petersburg home for incidents involving conflicts with neighbors. Police said the current conflicts are rooted in an ongoing child custody dispute with her former husband, ex-WTSP anchor M.W. "Pat" Minarcin.
Howe, 44, was arrested at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday for disorderly intoxication after officers said she became agitated while they attempted to question her regarding possible conflicts with a neighbor. The police report noted slurred speech, watery eyes and a strong alcoholic beverage odor.
She was arrested again at 10:30 a.m. today, after police responded to a criminal mischief call from a neighbor, alleging that plants had been vandalized on their property. The neighbors, who had been subpoenaed to testify in the custody case, told police Howe had been sending emails and text messages to them and may have vandalized their yard.
Here's the post on our breaking news blog about the arrests; St. Petersburg police also sent out a media alert with information on the case to area news outlets.
Howe was arrested last year and charged with driving under the influence on Mother's Day in a case that has not yet been resolved; she was let go by WTSP in September 2008 after more than a dozen years on air.
