Mother Jones releases full video of Mitt Romney's controversial remarks, candidate speaks to Fox News
GOP presidential candiate Mitt Romney said during a press conference Monday that he hoped a full copy would surface of a controversial speech he gave, instead of "snippets" featuring him implying 47 percent of American voters were victims addicted to government help.
So the liberal magazine Mother Jones has released video, audio and transcripts of the full speech, insisting that they presented his remarks in context.
In an interview on conservative-friendly cable newschannel Fox News, Romney said his remarks were about the "two different views of America" held by himself and President Obama.
""I do believe that we should have enough jobs and enough take-home pay such that people have the privilege of higher incomes that allow them to be paying taxes," Romney said Tuesday. "I think people would like to be paying taxes."
Did the candidate explain his position enough to avoid further fallout?
