keith-olbermann-and-globe.jpgMSNBC just released a statement on the return of anchor Keith Olbermann, who will come back to his Countdown show Tuesday after a two-day payless suspension when news broke he gave money to Democratic candidates without permission from his superiors.

Politico's Mike Allen now reporting Olbermann was suspended because he refused to apologize on camera. so either Olbermann was suspended for not getting permission to give money, or his was suspended for giving money, or he was suspended for not apologizing.

Anyway, here's MSNBC's statement:

From Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC:

After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.
