The St. Petersburg Times saw Sunday circulation increase 6.6 percent in new figures released for fall 2011 by the Audit Bureau of Circulations. Weekday circulation dipped 1.4 percent in the figures, which were the second set of numbers this year released under new counting methods established by the ABC.

The Times' Sunday circulation stands at 403,229, while the weekday circulation is 240,024.  Competitor The Tampa Tribune stood at 254,782 on Sundays and 125,867 during the weekday. Read the Times story on circulation by clicking here.

The St. Petersburg Times remains Florida's largest newspaper, ranking 16th among the nation's newspapers in Sunday subscriptions and 23nd among daily subscribers. See last year's figures in detail here.
