Weekend funny: Tampa expatriate Aasif Mandvi creates a Cosby Show for Muslims
Since joining the Daily Show five years ago, Aasif Mandvi has cornered the market on arch criticism of issues affecting Muslims as the show's Middle East correspondent.
He's so good, most viewers would never guess he spent time growing up in Tampa, graduating from Chamberlain High School and attending the theater program at he University of South Florida.
Our weekend funny this week comes courtesy of Mandvi, who took Katie Couric's offhand observation that stereotypes could be fought by a modern-day Cosby Show for Muslims, and decided to create one.
See how his focus group of seriously prejudiced Americans reacted to The Qu'osby Show:
- Cable TV
- Diversity/Minority affairs
- Government

- Media business
