Goodwill stores go clown-free for Halloween
Bored teenagers with nothing better to do than scare people will have to find their clown costumes somewhere other than the thrift store.
While many of the scary clown sightings around Florida were deemed jokes, Goodwill isn't laughing.
Goodwill-Suncoast released a statement on Monday that it's pulling clown costumes and accessories from shelves in its 18 stores.
"Due to the fact that multiple law enforcement agencies are suggesting that people avoid dressing as clowns for their own safety, we feel this move is in the best interest of the communities we serve," Brad Steffani, director of retail operations for Goodwill-Suncoast, said in a release.
Way to go, creepy clowns. You've ruined thrift store Halloween shopping for everyone.
