Daveed Diggs, who won a Tony for his work in Hamilton, is producing a series pilot for ABC about a rapping mayor, according to Deadline.

The hilarious premise for the possible series involves a struggle rapper who runs for mayor as a way of promoting a mixtape, but ends up somehow winning the election.

Diggs, who is also a member of the experimental hip hop group Clipping, is set to executive produce, but reportedly won't act in the pilot. It's being written by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon writer Jeremy Bronson, the guy who created Fallon's popular "Thank You Notes" segment.

Diggs left his role as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton back in July.
