'Hunger Games: Mockingjay 2' star Eugenie Bondurant coming to Sundial
Eugenie Bondurant is a lot of things around Tampa Bay; actor, cabaret artist, arts advocate and model among them.
Bondurant adds another title to her resume - blockbuster movie star - on Nov. 20 when The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 opens worldwide, wrapping up the fantasy adventure series.
Two days later, Bondurant will meet fans one-on-one, and sign autographs at Sundial in St. Petersburg, from 4 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
If all goes as planned, Bondurant will have recently returned from the movie's world premiere Nov. 16 in Los Angeles, sharing the red carpet with co-stars including Oscar winners Jennifer Lawrence and Julianne Moore.
Bondurant plays Tigris, a new character in Suzanne Collins' book trilogy (made into four movies). Tigris is a former stylist for the Capitol who was expelled for surgically changing her features to a feline appearance, making her too individualistic for evil President Snow (Donald Sutherland).
In retaliation, Tigris shelters Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) and her compatriots long enough for them to mount a last-ditch assault on the Capitol.
Watch for a Times interview with Bondurant on her Hunger Games experience, coming soon.
