Kanye West is going to be on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' tonight

There may be a detente in the war of words between Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel: The performer has decided to bury the hatchet by appearing on Kimmel's show tonight. Whether that hatchet ends up buried in Jimmy's scalp is a big enough question to make us watch.

West gained yet another measure of infamy by going on a Twitter rant after Kimmel mocked the musician's BBC Radio 1 interview by having a child read Kanye's quotes. That's the one where West called himself "the No. 1 rock star on the planet" and said he could basically excel at any creative venture, from fashion design to architecture.

The exchange has polarized the media a bit, with many presenting the beef as yet another Kanye Twitter moment, while others said West's reaction was justifiable because Kimmel's original sketch is borderline racist. Kanye has since deleted the tweets, so it looks like he's calmed down. Tune in to ABC tonight at 11:35 p.m.
