'Louie' is back! Season 4 will return May 5
FX just announced that its best show is returning in a few months: Louie season 4 starts May 5!
After a whopping 19-month hiatus, comedian Louis C.K.'s half-hour show debuts its fourth season Monday, May 5, at 10 p.m. The show will then air two back-to-back episodes every Monday for seven weeks through June 16. (The timing of the season means it could be eligible for this year's Emmy awards.) We also hear that FX ordered 13 episodes, but Louis delivered a bonus 14th episode, which is an amazingly Louis thing to do.
Frankly, we can't believe the show is already back; when C.K. announced in 2012 after season 3 ended that the show wouldn't be returning until 2014, it felt like an eternity. Pause for deep, Louie-esque reflection on life and the passage of time.
If you haven't seen the show, well, you need to remedy that. It's one of the most original, thought-provoking things happening in any medium right now. And look, you can actually catch up on the entire series on Netflix! What are you waiting for?
