My NPR adventures: Analyzing kids TV on Netflix and Amazon; previewing summer TV
Here's embedded audio of my last two NPR appearances: Examining the way Netflix and Amazon's competition for eyeballs has moved to kids TV, and offering some suggestions for TV shows to watch during the deluge of material coming this summer.
The online video commentary aired this morning, an audio version of the column I dropped yesterday. The botton line: As critics like me focus on the blockbuster adult projects Netflix and Amazoin are cooking up, we can overlook a more long-term competition -- to snare parents and kids with new shows and classic characters.
Our discussion on summer TV aired last week, but still offers lots of great suggestions on where to park your attention -- especially if you're looking for warm weathr substitutions for favorite shows from the spring. See written versions of my recommendations here and here.
