From the same network that decided it would be peachy to resurrect a '60s Raymond Burr drama about a wheelchair-bound detective comes this gem: The next three episodes of Parks and Recreation, by far the most watchable sitcom NBC airs, have been bumped by the network to cram more episodes of The Voice down our throats.

The show's battle rounds will take over Thursdays, and instead of airing Parks (the doomed Welcome to the Family is already gone), it will be booted until mid-November. Why the wait? Well, apparently there's a Saturday Night Live Halloween special airing on Halloween, then The Voice will show its live playoffs results episode. That last one was supposed to air at 9 p.m., but NBC must think people really want to watch Sean Saves the World and The Michael J Fox Show, so those have been moved up to 8 p.m.

This week's episode of Parks and Recreation with Orphan Black's Tatiana Masalany will sit in the hopper for a few weeks. That also means the Parks Halloween episode won't air until almost Thanksgiving. If they didn't have a replacement for Welcome to the Family at the ready, maybe they should have realized it was a show about a pregnant teenager that was supposed to be a sitcom.

The silver lining is that we'll get a solid hour on Nov. 14 and 21. Wait, no, that's not too silver, because after those two twin bills, it disappears until Jan. 9, 2014, so NBC can show football, The Sound of Music, The Sing-Off and Community's hourlong premiere Jan. 2. Sean Saves the World may be a literal title at 30 Rockefeller Center, if only because they can't afford to cancel it. And they wonder why Parks' ratings are in the dumps. Who knows when it'll even be on?
