New 'Dancing with the Stars' cast: Meryl Davis and Charlie White, Diana Nyad, Cody Simpson
Don't worry all you Olympic fiends missing the Winter Games, America's favorite gold-medal ice dancing team is back in the spotlight! Though, um, it's on Dancing with the Stars.
That's right, Meryl Davis and Charlie White, who won gold medals less than a month ago in Sochi, Russia, are part of the cast ABC just announced for the 18th season of its dancing show. We're having a very hard time seeing how either of them won't take home the big prize. They're already insanely charming and look great in Spandex. Plus, you know, they've DANCED since they were kids. Or maybe it's like that thing where if they're not performing with each other, they're both terrible?
Anyway, they join 10 other contestants in what is actually a pretty great lineup by DWTS standards - there are only a few people we've never heard of. See the full list below. Hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews kick off this season with a two-hour premiere on March 17.
Former pro hockey player Sean Avery, paired with pro Karina Smirnoff.
Actor Candace Cameron Bure (a.k.a. DJ on Full House), paired with Mark Ballas.
