One of the Feed's fave funnymen, Craig Robinson, just received a six-episode order (that's cool TV biz talk, yo) from NBC for a sitcom about a struggling, or perhaps fading, musician who takes a gig as a middle-school music teacher. Yeah, I know: That's a fairly generic wacky-pedagogue premise. But the burly, understated Robinson, best known for his work on The Office and in bawdy apocalyptic laffer This Is the End, is an uncommonly funny dude, so we have super high hopes. NBC's cheesy tagline for the show is: "While teaching the kids everything from rock to the blues, he simultaneously learns how to put the school's rules to the test." Not exactly pushing the envelope (coughSchoolofRockcough), and neither is the show's working title: Mr. Robinson. Still, whenever this sucker airs (there's no start date yet), we're watching every single second.
