Peter O'Toole on the Letterman show...on a camel
Peter O'Toole died Saturday at the age of 81, but man, did that guy live. One of those old-school hellraising British acccctorrs (a notorious crew that includes Richard Harris, Michael Caine, Oliver Reed) who could out-drink you and out-Shakespeare you. I've watched 1982's My Favorite Year dozens of times, a legitimately hilarious riff on the perils of life and live television. He was a movie star, but he could light up the small screen, too. Here's a classic old clip of O'Toole matching wits with Letterman, and nodding to Lawrence of Arabia with one heck of an entrance.
