Due to “overwhelming demand” Clearwater’s Capitol Theatre has added a second Jay Leno performance on March 29, more than a month after his originally scheduled  appearance on Feb. 9. That show, scheduled just days after his Tonight Show gig comes to an end, sold-out to Ruth Eckerd Hall members before they even made it to sale for the general public.

This will be Leno’s first appearance in Tampa Bay in more than 20 years, and he will be at the newly remodeled Capitol Theatre, which seats 750, which is managed by Ruth Eckerd Hall.

Tickets for the March 29 show are $85 $195, on sale Saturday at noon at the Ruth Eckerd Hall ticket office, 1111 N McMullen-Booth Road in Clearwater, or call (727) 791-7400 or see RuthEckerdHall.com.
Leno, 62, agreed to step down in February after 22 years behind the Tonight Show desk, paving the way for a smooth succession with Jimmy Fallon, 38, to take over the program.
