Star Wars Week: This is the 'Force Awakens' review you're looking for
Editor's note: With the seventh part in the Star Wars saga, The Force Awakens, arriving in theaters this week, we're celebrating all things geeky from a galaxy far, far away this week here on the Feed. From helping get you up to speed on what you need to know to offering recipes for a Star Wars marathon and joining the debate on which order to watch the movies in, we've got you covered, rebel scum.
After an insane amount of buildup, the reviews are finally out for The Force Awakens, just days before its release. And guess what? They're insanely good! The movie has a 97 percent — 97 percent! — rating on Rotten Tomatoes right now, based on 144 reviews that hit the interwebs this morning.
Personally, I'm hiding from the specifics of reviews, even if they claim to be spoiler free, because I just don't want to know anything going in, okay? But it is nice to know that the reviews are so positive!
Here's a spoiler-free snippet from our movie critic Steve Persall's review:
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens delivers from its opening blast of John Williams' theme music, to a final shot leaving viewers hanging ... It is the movie fans are awaiting, though missing its own vision."
