Taylor Swift, Howard Stern among highest paid celebrities of 2016
Forbes magazine's annual "Celebrity 100," a list of the highest paid celebrities across music, movies, sports, media and other fields ranks Taylor Swift as its top earner of 2016.
The list, out today, has Swift raking in $170 million this year after breaking the Rolling Stones' record for highest-grossing North American tour with her $200 million-earning "1989" tour. That puts her a cool $60 million ahead the No. 2 spot occupied by boy band One Direction, which made $110 million.
Prolific writer James Patterson, TV personality Dr. Phil and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo rounded out the top five. Kim Kardashian, who reportedly made $45 from her mobile app over the past year, is on the cover of of the July 26 issue. She's No. 43 on the list.
