The Travel Channel -- one of my preferred zone-out, de-stress I-want-to-move-to-Bali-immediately TV hangouts -- has given the go-ahead for three pilots/potential new series, each with a slick, wanderlusty twist. Fast-talkin' prestidigitator Penn Jillette (pictured above), aka the chattier half of Penn & Teller, will helm Street Cred, a search for the top street performer in America. The winner will get a nice tip in his or her collection hat -- worth $10,000. Booze Traveler (digging the name, guys) will feature South Boston's Jack Maxwell (no idea who that is) as he stumbles 'round the globe in pursuit of exotic cocktails. And, in perhaps the stretchiest premise, Great Escapes will show "extreme escape artist" Steve Santini visiting tourist destinations known for their "notorious confinements." (May we suggest the Old Jail in St. Augustine? LOVED that place as a kid.) No word yet on when these shows will air, but check back with the Feed every single day, 'cause you know we're all over that stuff.

Oh, and just for kicks, here's a video of Penn Jillette and his best buddy pulling a fast one on the Welsh Wonder, Tom Jones.
