The Inferno Soup at Nitally's.

Fan of super spicy food, set your DVRs for Tuesday: That's when the Travel Channel show Food Paradise is featuring Nitally's Thai-Mex Cuisine restaurant in St. Petersburg.

The Thai-Mexican fusion spot is infamous for its super spicy mouth-burning Inferno Soup, a nuclear concoction of broth, veggies and hot chilies. It's perfect for Tuesday's episode, which is called "Hot and Spicy Paradise." The show follows a theme each week, and finds restaurants all over the country that are notable for serving whatever the theme is. Tampa's Bern's Steak House was previously featured in an episode on the best steaks.

For years now the restaurant has made finishing a bowl of the soup a challenge, with a prize that once climbed to $1,500. So far only two people have conquered it. If you want to try the spicy soup for yourself, well, you're a little bit crazy. But you should know that Nitally's (2462 Central Ave.) will be giving free samples Aug. 5-9.

You can watch the Food Paradise episode at 10 p.m. Tuesday on the Travel Channel.
