Two Tampa Bay contestants make it onto 'The Voice'
Season 5 of The Voice is underway with its live, chair-spinning blind auditions, and in addition to the bromance antics between Blake and Adam and whatever crazy outfit Cee Lo is wearing that night, Tampa Bay area fans have another reason to tune in: There are now two Florida singers in the competition.
On Tuesday night, gospel singer R. Anthony (real name Renard Edwards) from Tampa made it onto Team Cee Lo (who turned his chair around at the very last moment, joining Christina) after singing a rendition of The Script's Hall of Fame.
He's the second person with Tampa Bay ties to make it onto the show, after former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleader Donna Allen, who grew up in Tampa, got two judges to turn around with her version of You Are So Beautiful. She chose Adam to be her coach.
