Val Kilmer coming to Tampa for 'Citizen Twain' screening, Tampa Bay Comic Con

Tampa's about to get all the Iceman it can handle.

Actor Val Kilmer is coming to Tampa not once but twice in July -- first for a film screening and Q&A, then at Tampa Bay Comic Con two weeks later.

The screening, on July 11 at the Improv in Ybor City, is for the film version of Kilmer's one-man show Citizen Twain, in which the onetime Batman plays another American hero, Mark Twain. He'll introduce the screening, then hang around afterward to answer questions and meet a few fans. (Given Jim Morrison's connections to the Tampa Bay area, maybe a retrospective on The Doors would be more appropriate, but this works too.)

Tickets to the Improv event start at $30, or $70 for a VIP that includes a meet-and-greet. Click here for details.

If you miss Kilmer at the Improv, he'll be back here July 29-30 for Tampa Bay Comic Con, appearing alongside Kate Beckinsale, Nichelle Nichols and others. Autographs and photo ops are $80, and that's on top of Comic Con tickets, which start at $30-$40 per day or $60 for the weekend. Click here for details.

If Kilmer decides he likes July in Tampa, who knows, maybe he'll buy a place here and settle down. We'll be his wingmen anytime.
