Warwick Davis, Matthew Lewis join Celebration of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando
Universal Orlando just announced its first wave of Harry Potter film stars set to attend its fourth Celebration of Harry Potter in January.
Fans will have to perfect their "swish and flick" for Warwick Davis, who played Professor Flitwick and Griphook. This will be his first year attending.
Also announced was Matthew Lewis, who played the argyle-sweater-wearing, snake-Horcrux-killing Neville Longbottom.
More film stars are expected to be announced later.
A slew of creative talent is also scheduled to attend, which includes key players who helped bring the world of Harry Potter to life.
So far, the list includes Nick Dudman, makeup and creature effects designer; Pierre Bohanna, head prop-maker; Paul Harris, the world's only wand combat choreographer; Mary GrandPre, illustrator for the books; and Eduardo Lima and Miraphora Mina of MinaLima, who created the graphic style of the films and of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
If you love the beautiful chaos of the Daily Prophet newspapers or the typography and details of the Marauder's Map, you'll want to meet Lima and Mina.
Universal also touts the largest Harry Potter Expo to date with props and experiences from Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, Harry Potter: The Exhibition, Pottermore and Audible, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Scholastic, Google Daydream and more.
With the release of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play and script and the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie, 2016 was a great year for Harry Potter fans.
Celebration attendees will get a glimpse into the the world of Cursed Child, the story of Harry Potter's son, Albus, set 19 years after the defeat of Voldemort. Google Daydream also has a VR experience for Fantastic Beasts, where you can use a special wand to solve puzzles and meet some of creatures inside Newt Scamander's case.
The annual celebration takes place Jan. 27-29 at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios and the adjacent Islands of Adventure.
Access to A Celebration of Harry Potter is included with regular admission or with annual passes, but vacation packages are available and include benefits like reserved seating, special sessions with talent and commemorative merchandise.
