Challenge accepted! Kathy Griffin aims to embarrass Anderson Cooper every New Year's Eve, like she did in 2012.

If your idea of a hot New Year’s Eve date is soft jammies and a TV remote, we have some choices as you channel-surf your way into 2014:

CNN’s New Year’s Eve from Times Square Anderson Cooper is a sucker for punishment because you know that Kathy Griffin will make it her life’s mission to once again embarrass the news man (like she did in 2012, above, when she stripped down to her lace bra). They will again host CNN’s coverage from Times Square from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. already has a petition going, noting Griffin’s “love of graphic and totally inappropriate content is well-known.” Kathy should send them some flowers for that plug. Over the years, there has been semi-nudity, saucy language and plenty of sex talk. Last year, Griffin kissed Cooper’s crotch. In a statement, Cooper said, “Wait ... what? CNN hired her again? For real?”  Griffin, humble as always, said, “I’m so thrilled Anderson Cooper has agreed to be my assistant once again as I single-handedly host New Year’s Eve on CNN for my global adoring audience.”

All-American New Year, Fox: The Fox channel will feature Elisabeth Hasselbeck co-hosting for the first time alongside Times Square New Year’s vet Bill Hemmer. Guests will include the stars of Duck Dynasty and performances by Rodney Atkins, Susan Boyle, Blues Traveler and more starting at 9 p.m.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest Your new year is mighty musical if you tune into the longest-named New Year’s Eve special on the dial. Starting at 8 p.m. on ABC, the busy Seacreast will have Blondie, Icona Pop, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Miley Cyrus ringing in the New Year with live performances from New York’s Times Square. Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy will be live from Times Square as he leads the traditional countdown to midnight. The West coast celebration hosted by Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas will feature performances and reports on New Year’s celebrations from around the globe. Capital Cities, Daughtry, Ariana Grande and The Fray will be hitting the stage at the West coast party.

New Year’s Code MTV will ring in 2014 with the Girl Code Presents: New Year’s Code special starting at 10 p.m. The one-hour special is hosted by Carly Aquilino of Girl Code and Charlamagne tha God from MTV2’s Guy Code. The female-driven comedy features comics giving viewers over-the-top tips about womanhood with advice on everything from boyfriends’ exes to one-night stands, clothes, food and karaoke. The casts of both shows will deliver their brand of the “code” for topics ranging from New Year’s Eve parties, midnight kisses, 2014 resolutions and how to recover from the hangover after the big day.  Following the New Year’s Eve special, Carly and Charlamagne will continue the live hits and count down until 2014 from Times Square.

A Toast to 2013, 8 p.m., NBC The Today Show’s boozy afternoon anchors Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford will host a two-hour special starting at 8 p.m. (That means double the vino.) They will be discussing all the biggest stories of the year with celebrity guests Jane Lynch, Michael Buble, Sheryl Sandberg, Questlove and more.

New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly This will mark the tenth year that The Voice host has helmed a New Year’s special for NBC. Before that he was MTV’s ringer of the new year. Jane Lynch, the Glee goddess of one-liners, will be joining Daly’s coverage live from Times Square starting at 10 p.m.
