Lucy Hale may play a sly English-teacher-snogging minx on ABC Family drama Pretty Little Liars, but tonight the saucer-eyed brunette will try on a guise much softer 'n' gentler than the character of Aria Montgomery: a down-home country singer. During the 8 p.m. winter premiere of PLL, Hale's debut single and accompanying video, You Sound Good to Me, will air, a melodious nod to her earlier days on American Idol knockoff show American Juniors. The 24-year-old multihyphenate is on a good label, Disney's Hollywood Records, and has a stable of noted songwriters (Ashley Gorley, Luke Laird, Hillary Lindsey) penning tunes for her. That said, we here at the Feed aren't loving this straight-down-the-middle Nashville pop, and Hale's middle-range voice has scant unique texture. Check out a sneak listen of You Sound Good to Me below, and let us know what you think.
