Winner and loser of the week: Ellen DeGeneres awarded Medal of Freedom; Justin Bieber in trouble again
Ellen DeGeneres. DeGeneres had the internet in tears when she accepted the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor, this week. DeGeneres looked stunned with tears in here eyes as a White House aide commented on her career and efforts made for LGBTQ rights. "In a career spanning three decades, Ellen DeGeneres has lifted our spirits and brought joy to our lives as a stand-up comic, actor and television star," the aide said. "At a pivotal moment, her courage and candor helped change the hearts and minds of million of Americans, accelerating our nations constant drive towards equality and acceptance for all." President Barack Obama bestowed the award and talked about the "incredible burden" and the career risks she made coming out. "Ellen counters what too often divides us, with the countless things that bind us together, inspires us to be better, one joke, one dance at a time," he said. And just to reiterate how awesome DeGeneres is, she even got the White House to partake in a #MannequinChallenge.

Justin Bieber. Justin, Justin, Justin. Can't you control your temper? Nope. The pop singer was caught on tape seemingly giving a fan a quick punch to the face while in Barcelona. TMZ posted the video of Bieber being driven in a car with screaming fans following, one man reaching his hand through the open window. The fan then turns around with a bloody lip.
