Winner and loser of the week: Emmy Rossum wins equal pay battle; John Mayer throws petty shade
Emmy Rossum. The Shameless star has successfully obtained a salary raise, and now we can all breathe a sigh of relief because the Showtime favorite will return. Rossum was holding out on renewing her contract until she was paid the same as her costar William H. Macy, who earned more despite their equal billing on the show (not cool). According to Variety, Showtime offered Rossum a raise, but she turned down the deal and asked for a larger salary than Macy's to make up the difference from the past seasons. You go girl! TMZ recently caught up with Macy, who totally had Rossum's back. "They wrote the Equal Rights Amendment in 1927," he said. "It didn't get passed until 1972. It still hasn't been approved by all the states. It's about f****** time, don't you think?" Yes, yes we think so.
Playing Fiona Gallagher has been one of the great privileges of my life. I'm so happy to continue w my SHAMELESS family!Back to work in May!

John Mayer. Seems like Mayer still has some Bad Blood with ex Taylor Swift. Swift, who celebrated turning 27 Tuesday, received lots of social media love from her A list friends. But it was Mayer, a 39-year-old MAN, who took to Twitter to slam her day of birth. "Tuesday, December 13 may be the lamest day of the year, conceptually." That is some serious shade, considering the two ended their relationship back in 2010. Mayer deleted the tweet shortly after, then insisted he meant no harm. Oh, really? Never tweet.
