Winner
Kelly Ripa. The co-host of Live! With Kelly and Michael has officially achieved full-on diva status, stirring up drama that may just make us tune in for the first time since the Regis Philbin era.

Following the surprise announcement that Michael Strahan will be leaving the show to join the struggling Good Morning America, Ripa reportedly “went crazy,” refusing to return to the studio.

“She was livid,” a source told E! News of her reaction to the blindside. “It wasn’t pretty.”

Her issue: that she learned of the change at the same time as the rest of the world, around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, just after shooting wrapped. Ripa and longtime executive producer Michael Gelman were stunned that the news had been kept under wraps, a decision made by Disney CEO Bob Iger, who was wary of a leak.

Ripa was a no-show at work on Wednesday and Thursday, the two days that preceded her long-planned 20th anniversary vacation with husband Mark Consuelos. Sources have told multiple news outlets that she may not return until Stahan leaves in September. The two haven’t spoken since the news broke.

In related news, Lara Spencer also is reportedly upset about the move because she considered herself the frontrunner to anchor the crucial 8 a.m. hour, which will instead be hosted by Strahan.

Ripa considers the secrecy surrounding the shift a slap in the face and feels that Disney doesn’t care about Live, which has been pretty successful since she took over for Kathy Lee Gifford. Rumor has it GMA may add a third hour in Live’s 9 a.m. time slot, a decision sure to displease the former soap star.

The day Ripa pulled the diva move, Macy’s blasted a news release that a Kelly Ripa home collection was in the works. We see you, Macy’s PR people.

Loser
Chris Brown. The R&B artist stands to profit off his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna via his upcoming documentary, Welcome to My Life: The Official Chris Brown Documentary.

“I went from being on top of the world, No. 1 songs, being kind of like America’s sweetheart to being Public Enemy No. 1,” he said in the film’s first trailer. “… I felt like a f---ing monster. I was thinking about suicide, I wasn’t sleeping, I barely ate.”

Brown’s life seemingly fell apart amid a string of legal problems following his brutal attack on Rihanna the night before the 2009 Grammys. Now, can someone help me find my tiny violin?
