That Family On TV Who Shall Not Be Named. Lamar Odom has fallen from grace, and pretty hard. Despite enduring a pretty rough life — his mom died when he was 12, his child died at 6 months old, and his father was addicted to heroin — the former Los Angeles Lakers player achieved his dream of winning an NBA Championship. Twice. And then that family happened. Once Odom married into reality TV royalty, he was thrust into a world of viewers thirsty for dirt, a distraction he blames for his marriage and career falling apart on camera. "Y’all have discredited me, beat me down, took my confidence," he told a TMZ videographer two months ago, adding, "Y’all won. ... I probably couldn’t even get f—ing hired by Home Depot right now because of how people look at me." Now he’s on life support in a Las Vegas hospital, reportedly suffering from a drug overdose, and whose names dominate his headlines? You know whose.
