Winner and loser of the week: Nicki Minaj is the ultimate fangirl; Amy Schumer fans don't know who Amy Schumer is
Nicki Minaj. There's something so refreshing about seeing a celebrity get starstruck over another celebrity. Rapper Nicki Minaj, 33, was all of us meeting our idol when she went full-blown super fan mode on singer Lauryn Hill. In a video that has now been seen over 3 million times, Minaj drops to her knees, and praises Hill while saying "I'm in love with you. Your spirit and your mind, everything about you." Minaj, nearing an ugly cry on camera, adorably fangirls and reveals that she even quoted Hill in her high school yearbook. Wearing the most over the top fur coat with five shopping bags in the background, Minaj has never been more relatable. "Shaking, crying, a MESS!!!!" she wrote in an Instagram video post. "This lady is the reason. Omg. The QUEEN. Goddess! The epitome! The bar! The *faints*. Ms Lauryn Hill told me to keep 'spittin dat fire'. Is this real life!?????" Now that's a good week.
(Some) Amy Schumer fans. Schumer made national headlines this week when 200 Tampa fans booed and walked out of her show on Sunday after she bashed Donald Trump. It's strange that fans (who spent money to be there) were caught so off guard by her statements, considering Schumer has never been one to hold back her political views. (Just watch any of her sketches, read her book or follow her on Twitter.) Schumer was an early endorser for Hillary Clinton for president and is a strong supporter for stricter gun laws, so did you all just accidentally buy tickets to the wrong show? Don't get me wrong, both parties deserve a good laugh and break from politics, but this is Amy Schumer we're talkin' about. "Know your audience, Amy!" some Twitter users said. Know your comedian.
