Wizarding World of Harry Potter gets Hogwarts light show, holiday celebrations at Universal Orlando
Ready your robes and Hogwarts house scarves, Christmas is coming to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter this year.
Starting Nov. 18 through Jan. 6, guests can immerse themselves in the sights, smells and tastes of Christmas in the magical world created by J.K. Rowling.
Universal Orlando announced today that it's bringing a Christmas experience to its wildly popular Harry Potter lands — Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley — with festive decor, holiday-themed food and drinks and decorated storefronts in both areas of the Wizarding World.
And the light show rumors are true — projection mapping and special effects will wrap the stunning Hogwarts castle and bring Christmas scenes from the Harry Potter series to life in a special nighttime show.
Returning this holiday season is Universal's Macy's parade, but with a new twist. Universal' Holiday Parade featuring Macy's meshes fan-favorite floats from the park's daily parade with the massive balloons made famous in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Get ready for to see some of your favorite characters from Minions, Madagascar and Shrek dancing on new floats or flying over Universal Studios.
Watch a message from Universal's Senior Director of Entertainment Mike Aiello about the coming holiday celebrations.
