Tina Fey: motherhood is a crappy job
This is why I heart Tina Fey so much. She admits that the "only good part" of motherhood is that beautiful babe. In a recent interview about her movie "Baby Mama," she cracks that, "The baby is the only good part. The diapers are not great, the hours are dreadful, they really are. Babies are very cute."
Not to mention the boredom, the stress and the shear physical strength it takes some days. Motherhood ain't for sissies. It's good that Fey is dispensing these pearls of wisdom. They may help to prepare her "Baby Mama" co-star Amy Poehler for the realities of motherhood. Poehler is due in October. Unfortunately, the "Baby Mama" DVD isn't scheduled to be released until Sept. 9.

Freelance writer Courtney Cairns Pastor wasn’t so sure about having kids and how she would balance child-rearing with her journalism career. It turned out that her journalism training went to good use. As the mom to a funny, active toddler, she learned to handle him like she did her sources. Never ask yes or no questions (the answer will always be no), get him to be specific (are you crying because you’re wet or your tooth hurts?) and be prepared for anything because no two days are the same.
