Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day could net your kid $1,000 savings bond

Mom_cowappday We know that every year Chick-fil-A has a day in which you can dress like a cow and get free food -- that's coming up on July 10. But this year in honor of the fifth anniversary of Cow Appreciation Day, the chain is upping the ante with an online contest for kids ages 10 and younger.

Through Aug. 31, parents can submit photos of their cow-clad children as part of the "Show Us the Cow" online photo contest for a chance to win a $1,000 U.S. savings bond. Kids can be in costume by themselves or can get their siblings and friends to get in the picture. Go here for plenty of details about uploading the photos. Once the pix are online, the public will have the chance to vote for their favorite through Aug. 31.

When public voting closes, 20 photos will be named semifinalists and that list will be culled to five finalists and one grand prize winner. In addition to the savings bond, the winner will receive a catered classroom party, free Chick-fil-A kid's meals for a year and a digital camera.

Now, just where did I put that cow costume?
