Children's Tylenol recall
According to the Tylenol Web site, after consulting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the company decided to recall the medicines after "one of the inactive ingredients did not meet internal testing requirements." It goes on to say, however, that the packaged products, "shipped to retailers by the company, has met all specifications."
In trying to call the company's toll-free customer service line to ask what you should do if you have some of the recalled products in your home, an electronic message said that they were experiencing high call volume and could not accept my call. Yikes! In a case like this, you might want to make sure you've got enough people and put in an additional phone line or two. But here's the number to call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays, just in case you want to try: 1-800-962-5357. I'll try to call back, too, to get more information.
