Chris Brown finally broke his silence about what happened with Rihanna -- and of course he mentioned his Momma.

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired,'' Brown said in a statement. "I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."

With endorsements and airplay on the line, I'm sure he is trying to be a better person. And it just goes to show you that when they're in trouble, even bad boys go running to Momma.
