College kids get cash for cluelessness

Here’s an opportunity for our older children who could use a little extra cash and counsel this summer.

Sponsored by Proctor and Gamble, Ready U, “a program dedicated to supporting college students by helping them navigate the journey of life outside the classroom” is offering more than just good advice. On their website, students can find tips and tools as they learn to live on their own, and this spring they can also win a $1,000 Visa gift card.

Keep in mind, the point of Ready U is to spark some brand loyalty as these new adults figure out their favorite soaps and toilet paper. But your wisened consumer can sign up between now and April 24, to enter the sweepstakes by “liking” the Ready U Facebook page. U.S. students 18-24 can enter once daily and four winners will be chosen at random.

You can get more details on the Ready U website, but  it may be a smart plan to enter this easy student sweepstakes.
