Crib recall

Crib The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall of more than 320,000 cribs made by Jardine Enterprises, a Taiwan-based company. Twenty-eight models, including one like that shown at right, were sold from 2002 through May at Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us stores throughout the United States. The CPSC has logged 42 incidents in which the slats or spindles break. In a handful of cases, children were trapped in the gap. Two injuries were reported.

Parents can call Jardine toll free at 1-800-646-4106 or go here for more details. If you had one of these cribs, you will receive a voucher crediting purchase price toward a new crib. You can see the complete list of cribs here.
