Divorced 66 year old to become Britain's oldest Momma!
Move over, OctoMom! There's a new postermom for IVF. She is Elizabeth Adeney, a 66-year-old unmarried businesswoman who is set to give birth to a son -- at least it's not eight! -- in July. Adeney apparently went to a clinic in the Ukraine to receive IVF treatments because British clinics will not perfom the procedure on women who are older than 50.
"It will be just me and my baby. I know some people won't understand but I don't care," Adeney told London's Daily Mail.
The world's oldest woman to give birth is thought to be this 70-year-old woman in India. She also received fertility treatments. After OctoMom Nadya Suleman had eight babies, ethical questions were raised over how and when IVF treatments are given by some doctors.
Adeney, who said she is a private person and will not get caught up in the media hype her pregnancy is causing, also told the Daily Mail, "It doesn't interest me that I'm going to be the oldest mum in the country. It's not my physical age that is important; it's how I feel inside. Some days, I feel 39. Others, I feel 56."
Well, get ready to feel about 80 when the baby doesn't sleep.
