Whoa, Momma!

Sharon Kennedy Wynne, Tracey Henry and Suzannah DiMarzio

Exactly how grown up are you, Miley?

Mom_music The debut of the new Miley Cyrus CD on Tuesday is huge at our house. HUGE. My 8-year-old daughter will be all over iTunes sampling songs from her Disney idol. But not before I get there first.

Silly, I know. Not like Miley's going to drop a few f-bombs. But if she is trying to grow up and break away from her squeaky-clean Hannah Montana persona, I wonder how far she goes on this new album, Breakout. Talking about love? Making out? Skinny dipping? Sex?

And the really important question: Can we still sing it together in the car?

Because let's be honest, I'm looking forward to this album as much as she is.  I've been known to leave in Hannah CDs after I've dropped off my daughter at school. No lie. We went to the Best of Both Worlds megaconcert together. We pile on the couch and watch the TV show together. No arguing. No nagging. Just innocent fun.

Now Miley has to go and grow up. My daughter too, I suppose, though 15 is a lot different -- and sexier -- than 8.

Guess I'll have some 'splaining to do. And that's what I'm really worried about.
