Expectant mothers can win prizes for yakking

pregnantbelly.jpgBayfront Baby Place is about to deliver its new Glow & Tell Facebook Journal, and also a contest launching this Sept. 1 just in time for Labor Day (get it?). Just when you think you might be getting insufferable in all your expectant glory, Bayfront is encouraging expectant moms to yammer on and win a $100 gift certificate to Destination Maternity.

Created by Bayfront Baby Place, Glow & Tell is an interactive Facebook journal that delves into the ups, downs and in-betweens of the users unique pregnancy through a series of weekly questions. Then they can use it to creatively share their pregnancy experiences with their friends and family on Facebook.

It's a first-of-its-kind application for both Facebook and the healthcare industry.

"We wanted to provide expectant moms with an outlet for sharing all the moments from their pregnancy," said Jenni Lash, director of perinatal services at Bayfront Baby Place. "Sharing those experiences with her from week one through her labor and delivery experience at Bayfront Baby Place, gives our team an opportunity to be part of her complete journey to motherhood."

Glow & Tell users have the option to share their journal entries with their Facebook friends or keep it private as a way to remember their personal journey. At any point in their journaling, users can download their entries into a beautiful keepsake album to share with their children and family.

Starting Labor Day weekend, Glow & Tell will launch its contest on Facebook and YouTube. Moms are encouraged to submit a small video or written submission on the Glow & Tell YouTube Channel or Facebook page with their best pregnancy story. Participants will be chosen weekly to win a $100 gift certificate to Destination Maternity. The contest will run through Sept. 30.
