Family tradition alert: Time to watch the 'Great Pumpkin'
This first real blast of cool air into the bay area really has me feeling like fall is finally here. And with Halloween just four short days away, the cooler weather can really give you the burst of energy you need to finish the costumes, make sure you got enough candy for trick or treaters and finally get that pumpkin turned into a Jack O'Lantern.
But while you are going about the business of being busy for Halloween, you might want to take just a half hour or so to relax, pop some popcorn, maybe make a little apple cider or hot chocolate and watch It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown at 8 p.m. Tuesday on ABC, which is WFTS Ch. 28 around these parts. Sure, we know that Linus is just going to be sitting in the field waiting and that the round-headed kid is only going to get rocks, but it's still a lot of fun to watch with your kids.
I did get a little scared when the TV listing said that the show was on for an hour! But the powers that be are just adding a bonus cartoon, "You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown" to the hour. Maybe that's just a tune-up for next Tuesday, Election Day.
