At Whoa, Momma!, we are all about free and we really love free movies. If you head over to Dunedin this weekend, expect to see a gem. The Wizard of Oz will be showing at Pioneer Park, Main Street and Douglas Avenue, beginning at 7 p.m. Friday. If you'd like a little scare in your free movie, then take in Beetlejuice at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach at 8 p.m. Friday. And at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, go to Al Lopez Park in Tampa and see How to Train Your Dragon on the big inflatable screen. The park is at 4810 N Himes Ave., Tampa.
Don't leave your four-legged family members at home this weekend. You can take them for a stroll at 9 a.m. Saturday during the SPCA Tampa Bay 3K Pet Walk in St. Petersburg's Straub Park, Beach Drive and Fifth Avenue NE. After that, you can let them get wet at the the Soggy Doggie Splash Party 2010 at the Highland Recreation Complex and Family Aquatic Center, 400 Highland Ave. NE, Largo. On Saturday, the splashing begins at 11 a.m. for small dogs and 1:30 p.m. for larger pooches.
At 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. Sunday, you can take in a little theater and enjoy the fun tale of Pigeon, Duckie and Knuffle Bunny at Pigeon Party at Ferguson Hall at David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 N MacInnes Place, Tampa. Tickets start at $9.50.
