Each year in the Homes section of the St. Petersburg Times and online on tampabay.com, this long list of things you need to do around your house in the new year gets published. We've always found it to be a little daunting because, again, it's long. With kids, dinner to prepare, a job and all the rest, you wonder if you have enough hours in your lifetime to make it through that list.

But it's useful because it gives us an idea of what can be done. And we can always pick and choose what we want to do. Take a look and we bet you'll find something that you feel needs to be done around your home in 2009. You'll be glad you did.
