Get your kids cooking!
There must be a move afoot to get kids cooking. Momma Sharon Kennedy Wynne has shared her experience taking her sons to a free cooking class to get them interested in healthy eating -- and in making it themselves.
Well, Food Diva Janet Keeler tipped us off to the many family-friendly cooking classes that are being offered this week around the bay area. And as luck would have it, Janet has come up with five recipes for you to get your kids in the kitchen to help prepare the meals.
We're not talking about getting your kid to wield a knife like a celebrity chef, but they can definitely stir and measure ingredients and help with clean-up duty after the meal is complete. If all of this feels like too much during the week, take an easy approach and start with one meal over the weekend.
And check out Janet's blog Stir Crazy in which she mixes her wit with fast, easy recipes.
Now, there's really no excuse to get your whole family in on the cooking act.
