Girl Scout cookies? There's an app, website and more for that
Leave it to the Girl Scouts to digitize fundraising.
As you likely know from your doorbell getting rung or your co-worker hounding you, it's Girl Scout cookie time. For the poor souls who don't have a neighborhood kid connection to feed your need for Tagalongs, Thin Mints and Samoas, you can find them online or with an iPhone and Android app, our colleage Luis Perez reports. And the Gadget Guy reports they also have a new web site and Twitter, Facebook and YouTube pages, among others.
Cookie booths at your local grocery store or mall will be popping up between Feb. 25 and March 20. A cookie booth locator will be available beginning Feb. 25 to help you find a stash. In Tampa Bay a link to the booth locator will be at www.gswcf.org on or shortly before Feb. 25.
I'm wondering if some smart PTAs or youth soccer leagues can learn something from these crafty girls.
