Halloween myths debunked (Go ahead, eat the stranger's candy)
I'm a big fan of contrarians, which is why I did this story last year at this time of year on the researcher who maintains there's never been a documented case of razor blades in Halloween candy. Ever. But the urban legend lives on.
To add to our library of things we were sure were true but aren't, I loved this list of 13 Halloween myths debunked. Among them: The holiday doesn't have its roots in anything Satanic, the pumpkin wasn't even discovered yet when Halloween first came to popularity so the Jack o' Lantern is a fairly recent addition, and there are no bands of devil worshippers out looking for black cats to mutilate.
