Whoa, Momma!

Sharon Kennedy Wynne, Tracey Henry and Suzannah DiMarzio

Hey Mommas, four words: Kama Sutra for you

Mom_mominatrix I knew that would get your attention. Consider this the Kama Sutra for today's new moms. Kristen Chase's new book has all the technical stuff needed to have good, passionate sex but tailors it to women who just had kids and need to jumpstart their love life. The title will grab you: The Mominatrix's Guide to Sex: A No-Surrender Advice Book for Naughty Moms.

Chase comes to Tampa on Thursday to participate in Neiman Marcus' spring line kickoff party. She'll be doing sexy Momma makeovers in the lingerie section and signing copies of her book.

The book is risque, to say the least, but quite informative and written in a fun way. As a mom of a 3-year-old, I laughed out loud. And I was reading it at work. In my cubicle. Surrounded by reporters and editors working on very serious work. Gosh, if they only knew what I was reading.

That said, I enjoyed the book's honest discussion of topics that are difficult to talk about, even among friends -- unless your friends are Carrie and Samantha. If you don't buy it for yourself, then buy it for a friend. Then borrow it.

Or if you want the cliff-note version -- and Chase's top three ways to stoke the flames -- read my story.

-- Susan Thurston, Times mom
